Google guarantees updates for a set number of years from each Pixel's launch, and newer models get far longer windows than older ones. Check how much update life a given model has left, because a phone that has run out of security updates is a poor buy however cheap. This is the single biggest factor in Pixel value.
Battery, screen and IMEI. Pixel batteries, like all phones, fade with age, so ask about battery health and whether it lasts a day. Inspect the OLED screen for cracks and burn-in, and test the excellent cameras that are the Pixel's main draw. Crucially, check the IMEI is clean (not blacklisted for being lost, stolen or on unpaid finance) using a free IMEI checker, and that the phone is not locked to a carrier unless you want that network.
Unlocked and reset. Confirm the phone has been factory reset and signed out of the previous owner's Google account, or anti-theft protection will lock you out. An unlocked handset works on any network and is worth more than a carrier-branded one.
Value. A Pixel one generation back with plenty of update life left offers flagship cameras for mid-range money.

Yes, with one Pixel-specific check. Ask the seller to confirm the phone is not stuck at a Google account lock screen, because factory reset protection survives a wipe and a locked handset is worth parts money. Beyond that, favour high-feedback sellers, prefer unlocked phones, confirm it powers on and the screen works, and lean on eBay's Money Back Guarantee.
Usually 60-75% below new. Current flagships hold value longest; older generations drop sharply once new ones launch.
Total price with shipping, seller feedback, returns policy and carrier lock status first. Then ask which Android version it is on and when security updates end, because that date is fixed at launch and decides how long the phone stays usable. Check the screen and back glass in real photos rather than stock images.
A carrier-locked phone only works with one mobile network (Verizon, AT&T, etc) without paying a fee to unlock it. An unlocked phone works with any carrier. Most modern phones can be unlocked, but it can take time and cost money. Always ask if a used phone is locked or unlocked before you buy.
Every Pixel here as a percentage of what Google charged for it new. Lower means the used market has marked it down harder, and on this page that tracks remaining Android updates about as cleanly as you could hope: the nine phones Google promised seven years of updates sit at a median of 56 per cent of launch, the eleven older ones promised three sit at 32, and only two of the older phones reach into the newer group's range at all. The catch is that Google only started promising seven years with the Pixel 8, so the long-support phones are also the recent ones and nothing here can tell those two things apart. Worth reading alongside the launch price: a flagship at half price and a budget model at half price are very different amounts of money saved. Tap a model to see its listings.

A daily snapshot of the lowest genuine eBay price for every model we track, and how good that price is right now versus its usual level, updated automatically. Prices last refreshed 12 October 2026. Tap a price to see that model's cheapest listings on eBay, or tap a model name for the full live list here.
These are second hand prices, listed by sellers as used or pre-owned, taken from live eBay US listings in US dollars. In collectible categories a sealed or unworn item is sometimes the cheapest genuine listing, and it is included. The same number works both ways: it is what a buyer pays today and the resale value a seller can realistically ask. Every model also carries a price history, the daily record kept since tracking began, which is the part to read before you buy or resell. On a day when a model has no listing that passes these filters, its row keeps the last price we recorded rather than inventing one, and drops off this table if that goes on for more than a few days.
Under each model is the actual listing that price came from, so you can see whether it is the thing you want or a bundle, a variant, or an accessory that happens to share the name.
"Off retail" compares today's used price with what the model costs new. For anything still on sale that is its current new price, so the figure is close to a discount you could really get. For anything no longer sold it is the last new price we have on record: on a boxed product like a LEGO set or a console that is the RRP, and on a part like a graphics card it is nearer what new stock was going for at the end than what it cost at launch. So on older hardware read it as depreciation against late retail rather than against the original sticker. A few rows read "above" instead: they cost more used than new, which is normal for a retired set or a part nobody makes any more.
Over the period we have tracked, this category is up 10.6%, while the used market as a whole is down 0.3%. See the Used Price Index, which is built from these prices and published as a free CSV.
